It is with immense sadness that I report the passing of Graham Bradshaw on the 31st August. Known to most Hedon folks as the jovial proprietor of Rings & Things, Graham was a lovely man, a true gent with a great sense of humour and fun.

Deepest sympathies to Marjorie and all the family. The funeral is on Monday, 9th September and the family’s notice is copied below.

“I first met Graham when he became an advertiser (our first and most regular) on the Hedon Blog for Rings & Things – but Graham didn’t want to stop there, he wanted to learn all about the working of a website under the bonnet, and so a series of ‘lessons’ on the computer followed. This is when I really got to know this wonderful man and wonderful wife Marjorie. I was tickled to discover at one of these lessons that one of the many, many things Graham has done in his life was as a hot-cake man in the area near to where I was brought up as a child. The childhood memories of hearing the van come down the street tooting his horn, ringing his bell and shouting “hot cakes!” were very nostalgic and I told my family members, and anyone I still meet from those days, that I’d met the ‘hot cake man’.  There are so many great things to say and stories to tell about Graham and his love for life that, as sad as these occasions are, Monday will also be a real celebration too of a life well-lived.

“Rest in Peace my friend Graham.”
