GRAHAM STUART MP says he was shocked by the changes to Parliamentary constituency boundaries proposed by the Boundary Commission for England.

In a news statement issued today the Beverley and Holderness MP says he is particularly concerned about plans to include Hedon in a largely urban constituency around the city of Hull.

The MP said, “I know we all expected some changes to our constituencies, but what we got was far more radical, and, to my mind, unnecessary. I strongly oppose bringing South West Holderness into Kingston upon Hull East. It is not a natural fit and the Boundary Commission needs to rethink its recommendation.”

He concluded, “I am interested in finding out more about what my constituents think about the Boundary Review. Just from what I have heard today, I think people will have strong views on the matter.”
