POSTPONED “Riding the Stang” – Hull Folk Collective Perform at St Augustine’s Church, Hedon – Sat 4 April 2020
The next LIVE PERFORMANCE event at St. Augustine’s Church, Hedon is “Riding the Stang”. This unusual history of Hedon and the surrounding villages is told in contemporary narrative, utilising eyewitness accounts and newspaper reports along with traditional and new folk songs. “Riding the Stang” is written and performed by the Hull Folk Collective.
A programme of entertainment is being introduced at The Mill in Hedon starting with a covers band “Light the Fuse” on Friday 26th July. Band takes to the stage at 9:30pm. Expect a bit of Madness, Arctic Monkeys, The Kinks, Greenday, Stereophonics, etc.
Have a drink… or a dance even whilst watching THE SHOUT “sound-busting gig” at The Shakespeare Inn, Baxtergate, Hedon. Saturday 29 June 2019 from 7pm. “Have a few alfresco drinks, while away the time and sing along!”
CUBA DRIVE headlines The Culture Train tour at St Augustine’s Church, Hedon on Sat 15 June 2019. Free gig with four acoustic bands playing – fundraising refreshments for the church. Doors open 7pm.

LIVE MUSIC at Preston Community Hall with local girl, KATIE SPENCER, on Friday 14th September 2018 at 7.45 p.m. Katie was a support act to Ralph McTell at his recent Hull concert and is currently busy performing around the country. This performance at Preston Community Hall is very much a homecoming concert for Katie who went to South Holderness school.
Cockstock2018 at the Cock & Bell pub, Main Street, Preston takes place this year on Saturday 8 September and will be raising money for charities The Kerry Key Foundation, the Riding for the Disabled Association and the Yorkshire Air Ambulance.
