THIS WEEKEND English football is coming together with sports and other organisations, to boycott social media and demand change to #StopOnlineAbuse. A range of organisations will be switching off their Facebook, Twitter and Instagram accounts, from 3pm Friday 30 April to 11.59pm on Monday 3 May.
one.network is a very useful online service that displays traffic disruption information including roadworks taking place in the local area.
WHAT3WORDS is a service that we’ve used and supported for years on HU12 Online. As the video explains it divides the world up into 3-metre squares and each has been given a unique combination of three words. This means we can give precise locations for buildings, an entrance to a building, and particularly hard to describe places without street addresses like parks, beaches and car parks.
Volunteers will help older people maintain contact with family and friends, to learn new skills and to provide the opportunity for them to access information from the internet that can be rewarding and enjoyable….

THE STATS from WordPress.Com show that the Hedon Blog had its 200,000th visitor this morning Saturday 7th January 2012! The image opposite was captured this afternoon to record the event.It took 2 years to clock up our first 100,000 and only a year to reach the latest figure.
