Not everyone has a network of family, friends, neighbours or carers to call upon. This page is dedicated to those people. Particularly those in Hedon, Preston, Paull, Thorngumbald, Camerton, Ryehill and Burstwick that are without support.
This interim group of volunteers aim to offer immediate help where needed in the Hedon and District area and offer pick-up and delivery services of essential supplies to isolated people not receiving help from friends, family or neighbours.
As residents across Hedon, joined millions across the country, and took part in a standing ovation to the stars of our health care system, a local town councillor reported on Facebook that it made him cry with emotion.
On HU12 Online we have begun the job of identifying which local businesses and services remain open especially if they offer local household delivery enabling people to stay at home.
URGENT: It would be extremely helpful if local shops that are organising grocery delivery services for self-isolating people could list themselves below in the comments or email email@example.com. The desire is to create one useful source of information, please.
