Campaigning in the local elections
From 8 March the Government will change the lockdown regulations to support door to door campaigning activity in the run up to the local elections.

The Cabinet Office on Gov.UK has said: “Everyone who feels comfortable going to a supermarket or a post office should also feel confident attending a polling station in May.”

When a flood risk is raised in the local area, Flood Alerts are sent out by by recorded phone call, email and text message. Mostly the warnings are precautionary only. But those living in areas near the waterways will be more vigilant and can judge actual river and water levels and assess the realistic risk.
From today (Wed 13 May) people are allowed to spend more time outdoors.
