POSTPONED “Riding the Stang” – Hull Folk Collective Perform at St Augustine’s Church, Hedon – Sat 4 April 2020
The next LIVE PERFORMANCE event at St. Augustine’s Church, Hedon is “Riding the Stang”. This unusual history of Hedon and the surrounding villages is told in contemporary narrative, utilising eyewitness accounts and newspaper reports along with traditional and new folk songs. “Riding the Stang” is written and performed by the Hull Folk Collective.
Pub Quiz Night in aid of The Angus MacDonald Foundation. Organised by the Hull City Official Supporters Club and open to all. The Constable Arms, Sproatley. Monday 10th February 2020 – Starts 8:30pm. Please arrive no later than 8.15pm for an 8.30pm start.
The next Film Night at Preston Community Hall, film nights is “Downton Abbey” based on the successful and popular TV series. This is a period drama in which an aristocratic family and their staff have to prepare for an unexpected visit from The King and Queen.
Hedon Methodist Church hosts its first Film Night of 2020 “A Street Cat Named Bob” on Thursday 23 January. Doors open at 6.30pm to buy refreshments and popcorn, and the film starts at 7.15pm. No entrance fee but donations welcome.
