HOLDERNESS HEALTH, the combined local GP practices, today announced on their Facebook Page that more than 50% of over 80-year-olds in the area on their priority lists have been vaccinated against COVID-19. Also, by the end of today, the first dose COVID-19 vaccinations will have been completed in all 17 care homes in the patch.
Bus company East Yorkshire has announced that local Hornsea, Hedon and Withernsea buses will continue to run as normal during the new national lockdown, in order to allow key workers to get to work and essential journeys to be made.
The tier restrictions will come into effect from the beginning of Wednesday, 2 December (00.01). Until then, the national restrictions will remain in place. The Government has said it will review tier allocations by 16 December.
the East Riding will move from local alert level 1 (Medium) to local alert level 2 (High) at 12.01am on Saturday. This means that additional restrictions, such as no indoor mixing of different households, will come into effect across the whole of the East Riding from just after midnight on Saturday, 31 October 2020.

The dedicated telephone number (01482) 393919 for the coronavirus community response hub will change its opening hours this week due to the falling number of requests for help. The operating hours are now between 9am and 5pm Monday to Friday.
