THE BOUNDARY REVIEW of Parliamentary constituencies announced yesterday has provoked strong reactions, particularly from MP Graham Stuart and local South West Holderness Councillors.
IT HAS BEEN proposed by the Boundary Commission for England (BCE) that in 2023 a new Kingston Upon Hull East Parliamentary County Constituency is formed that would incorporate the current South West Holderness Ward (Hedon, Paull, Preston, Thorngumbald, etc).
The boundary between Hull and the East Riding is an issue in the local media again, but the suggestion, this time, is to do away with the boundary altogether and merge Hull City Council and the East Riding of Yorkshire Council! We look at some of the issues…
