Preston Playing Fields Charity is to receive £4,000 in commuted sums to purchase safe top mesh steel fencing to enable the play area within Preston playing field to be fenced off.

Councillor Dennis said: “Residents of the region will be pleased to hear about the East Riding’s proposals on the various investigations being carried out as part of the process. In particular, the section that a feasibility study on my proposal to create a bypass is to be taken seriously after many years of trying to get meaningful talks started.

Due to the current Pandemic and ensuing restrictions the Preston Community Hall have decided to cancel their Autumn film programme scheduled until the end of the year. The Committee hopes to restart films early in the New Year.

Small foodbank service at St. Augustine’s Church, Hedon

St Augustine’s Church in Hedon is running a small foodbank during the school summer holidays, with food from Fairshare and Inmans School as well as donations. It will be open each Thursday morning from 10.30 until 12.30.
