Sunday Services – Churches reach out with spiritual support (19 APRIL 2020).
There will be some prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place chosen by the Mayor – but this is not about prizes, it is about showing as a town that we can still mark an important event in the spirit of those who came before us in the second world war – and we can still have fun too!
Scouts are being asked to join in and clap in full uniform, for next Thursday’s Round of Applause for NHS carers and other essential workers at 8pm. Thursday 23 April is St. George’s Day.
DO you live on Cromwell Road, Cleeve Road or Taillar Road in Hedon? Look out of your windows at 3.30pm on Easter Sunday 12 April 2020 – the Spiderman and his new sidekick the Red Power Ranger will be visiting the streets. Give them a wave from your house!
WITH the preponderance of malicious ‘fake news’ on social media, and the terrible pandemic impacting on us all, then the idea of pulling off a light-hearted April Fool’s prank is no longer very appealing. Because of the ongoing concerns about coronavirus (COVID-19) and particularly the need to protect those at high-risk from the effects of the virus, the following events have been cancelled…
