THE PRECEPT for 2021/22 will be discussed by Hedon Town Council tonight Thursday 21st January 2021 at 7:15pm. The precept is the component part of council tax collected by the East Riding of Yorkshire Council (ERYC) that goes towards very local services provided by the Town Council. This amount appears on your council tax bill.

Volunteers are asked to commit to at least one four-hour session per week and some marshalling duties will be required outside. A 30-minute online training session will be arranged and delivered by HEY Smile Foundation before volunteers are allocated their sessions and teams.

Hedon Town Councillors have objected to the proposed demolition of the old Post Office building in Market Place. The objection will be submitted to the East Riding of Yorkshire Council planning department.
HOLDERNESS HEALTH, the combined local GP practices, today announced on their Facebook Page that more than 50% of over 80-year-olds in the area on their priority lists have been vaccinated against COVID-19. Also, by the end of today, the first dose COVID-19 vaccinations will have been completed in all 17 care homes in the patch.
