The Declarations of Integrity should be read in each of the three Ridings in five different dialects including modern English and Old Norse, whilst facing towards the county’s ancient capital of York (that’s towards the North West for us in Hedon).

Get your entry forms in for the Hedon fun dog show “Scrufts”. The Haven Arms, Havenside in Hedon will once again host Scrufts, the town’s Dog Show organised by Hedon Town Council. The event is the 4th Scrufts organised by the council and proves a popular event each year. The dog show will be held on Saturday, April 25 from 11am in the marquee at the Haven Arms.

SUNK ISLAND CHURCH is hosting a Harvest Festival and Auction on Sunday afternoon 1st September 2019. The Family Service starts at 2pm followed by the Auction of produce with Tim Fussey.
Preston Show & Family Fun Day will be held on Saturday, 27th July 2019. It will be staged once again in the grounds of The Nag’s Head, Sproatley Road, Preston. Admission 50p. Gates open at 12.30pm.
On Sat 6 and Sun 7 July 2019 it’s the 8th Annual Thorngumbald Scarecrow Trail weekend. Scarecrows out from 10am on Saturday until 4pm on Sunday – location maps from local shops and pubs. Traditional Annual Village Show at the Village Hall on Sat from 1pm – 4pm and a special Scarecrow Service at St. Mary’s Church on the Sunday at 10am.
ROOS & DISTRICT Horticultural Society 77th Annual Show on Sat 13 July 2019. Activities from 1.30pm including a Dog Show. Presentations to the winners of over 40 trophies takes place from 4pm. Admission: £1 (children free).
