Alexandra Hall Wednesday ‘Pop-In’ to reopen – with restrictions!

THE POP-IN at Alexandra Hall, Hedon will be re-opening on Wednesday, 29 September 2021 from 9am until 11am.

Entry will be restricted to 72 people only. This is in light of the continuing threat from COVID-19. Upon entering Alexandra Hall you will be asked to show the little card that verifies you have had two COVID vaccinations. You will then be asked to sign in for track and trace purposes or use the QR code on the NHS app. Face coverings must be worn until you are seated, and when walking about the Hall.

A spokesperson said: “At first, bearing in mind that Covid cases are still extremely high and remembering that many of our friends are extremely vulnerable, we will be restricting the number of people who can come in to 72. We apologise that this will probably mean some people are disappointed. It has been a long time since we were able to welcome people and all our volunteers are looking forward to seeing old and new friends next Wednesday. Take care – and stay safe.”

The Wednesday ‘pop-in’ at Alexandra Hall has become something of a social institution providing chat, friendship and a place to meet – as well as the teas and coffees. It’s good to see the ‘pop-in’ re-opening following an easing in restrictions – albeit cautiously!!
