Heritage Open Days 2021 are here. Hedon’s Catholic Church is open to visit on Saturday and Sunday, 11th and 12th September from 3pm to 5pm on each day.
St. Mary and Joseph Catholic Church on Baxter Gate was the first property to open yesterday and again today and Sunday from 3pm to 5pm.
Tony Porter explains: “This little gem of a church was constructed in 1803, well before Catholics in England received full emancipation. This explains the plainness of the exterior and there is much to see inside too. Tony Hay will be able to point out the details for visitors. Not to be missed.”
