Polls Open

Election Day South West Holderness

POLLING STATIONS open at 7am across South West Holderness on Thursday 6 May. They remain open until 10pm. Four candidates are standing for election and hope to secure enough votes to be your Councillor on the East Riding of Yorkshire Council (ERYC).

There is one vacancy. You have one vote. The winning candidate will join the existing two councillors in representing the Ward on the ERYC council. All three councillors will be up for re-election in May 2023.

The candidates are

  • James Baron (Independent)
  • Steve Gallant (Labour Party)
  • Matthew Grove (Liberal Democrats)
  • David Winter (Conservative).

The count of votes takes place on Friday 7 May.

Also taking place on 6 May is the election for your next Police and Crime Commissioner for Humberside. The candidates are Jonathan Evison (Conservative), Keith Hunter (Labour and Cooperative) and Bob Morgan.
