HOLDERNESS ACADEMY staff and students were determined to put on their traditional Christmas Carol Service this year and not let the Pandemic be the cause of the event being completely cancelled. The service which would normally have been held at St. Augustine’s Church in Hedon where an annual school service has taken place every year since 1973 it is believed,  has instead gone online.  Through the power of YouTube that service is being shared across our communities.

Ms J Lovel from Holderness Academy thanked those that had helped make the online event happen and added: “This morning we delivered chocolates and cards to local care homes and shared our link. Today the service was played in a loop in St Augustine’s Church.”
