Lions donate Festive gift bags to St. Augustine’s Pantry, Hedon

The Pantry at St. Augustine’s Church, Hedon continues to provide a useful service to residents who are facing financial difficulties. That service has now been boosted by the Holderness Lions who yesterday donated 15 festive bags to the Pantry.

The handover of the bags took place yesterday with Lion Eileen and Lion Ann (pictured) who presented them to the Rev. Sue Pulko.

President Eileen Smith said the Holderness Lions were delighted to support this local initiative. She hinted: “Rather than just the basics our goodie bags contain other festive items.”

Rev. Sue reminded folks that the Pantry will be open on Thursdays including Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve from 10:30am – 12.30pm when in addition to the basic 12 items it will be offering fruit and veg, a Christmas treat and a Christmas gift.
