First church service at St Augustine’s post-lockdown – “Wonderful” says Rev Sue!

The first church service since the easing of lockdown took place at St. Augustine’s Church in Hedon on Sunday 12 July 2020, as Rev. Dr Sue Pulko reports:

“The first eucharist since before lock-down took place at St Augustine’s last Sunday. A small congregation of about 30 brave souls took part. The social distancing of 2 metres was observed, and all other reasonable precautions were taken. Face shields were kindly donated by the University of Hull.

“It was wonderful to see each other again and, although we could not physically sing songs of praise to God, we sang joyfully in our hearts, and enjoyed beautiful organ music played, as always, by Colin.

“Many thanks to everyone who helped to get the church ready and make everything go so smoothly.”
