This prayer seems appropriate for our collective mood at the moment:
Jesus, like a mother you gather us to you;
you are gentle with us as a mother with her children.
Despair turns to hope through your sweet goodness;
through your gentleness, we find comfort in fear.
Your warmth gives life to the dead,
your touch makes sinners righteous.
Lord Jesus, in your mercy, heal us;
in your love and tenderness remake us.
In your compassion bring grace and forgiveness,
for the beauty of heaven may your love prepare us.
We are going to have a service in the Church next Sunday, 12th at 9.30am. There will be social distancing. The Church will also be open every Tuesday and Thursday from 10.30am to 12midday for private prayer. It will be lovely to see people again next Sunday and to welcome any new people, so do come and join us.
Internet services will still continue as well.
