VIRTUAL PUB QUIZ NIGHT – Monday 18 May 2020.
Organised by the Hull City Official Supporters Club.
The ‘lockdown’ continues but we can still get together. With only a slight relaxation around the social distancing guidelines, we’re preparing to host our 4th Virtual Pub Quiz on Monday 18th May at 8pm.
It’ll be on Zoom again – this is free to use.
If you’ve not already used Zoom, don’t worry it is very easy to set up and you do not have to enter any payment details.
Once you’re in Zoom you will need to enter
Meeting ID 892 2283 5977
Please join the meeting before 8pm, ideally from 7.45pm onwards.
Then think up a team name. At the bottom or top of your screen, there is an icon (Participants) click on this and a window opens for you to rename. Just enter your team name here.
As usual please limit your team size to 6 people. We suggest that if other team members are not in your home with you, that you set up a Whatsapp or Messenger text group so that you can all work together remotely, or use the private message button on the Zoom App, everyone will need to be able to view the picture round & hear the music round.
PLEASE #STAY SAFE & DO NOT INVITE TEAM MEMBERS TO JOIN YOU IN YOUR HOME.
Once the quiz host starts the questions you can mute your sounds so that you do not give your answers away.
We will guide you through giving your results.
Whilst we’re conscious that people’s main spending priority at the moment may not be a donation to charity, but if you are able, we would really appreciate if you felt able to support the two causes we are raising money for throughout 2020 with our usual quizzes.
You can donate here: www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/hullcityofficialsupporterclub and we will split any monies raised, between:
The Angus MacDonald Foundation
Formed by our #15, Angus MacDonald who successfully combated the early stages of bowel cancer last year, the Foundation has been set up to raise awareness around cancer diagnosis in young people and to use sport as an activity and a rehabilitation mechanism when people have had treatment, to get them fit and active again.
We think it’s important to support a cause that’s close to football, to something Hull City related if we can but also something that the local community can benefit from. The Tigers Trust:-
• provide facilities for improving health and social cohesion through participation in sport and leisure activities.
• advance educational opportunities for young people and adults, working with a wide range of partners.
• promote activities that will enhance social welfare and inclusion for families and people of all ages.
Remember that this is primarily a community social but hopefully too, a fun way of fundraising for good causes – thanks to those who donated during our previous three Virtual Pub Quizzes, you’ve helped raise a massive £425.00.
It’d be great to see you!
