WE’VE promoted the Hull City Official Supporters Club (OSC) Charity Quiz Nights for some years now – and we are pleased that coronavirus hasn’t scuppered their fundraising and fun nights!
#VirtualPubQuiz – Get your pen and paper ready!
A Virtual Pub Quiz is taking place on Monday 20 April at 8pm and you are asked to form your teams of no more than six people in your own Messenger or WhatsApp groups and your Team Leader should join the OSC quiz via Zoom on Monday night ideally at 7.45pm and before 8pm. Your Team Leader’s device – Laptop, PC, Tablet or Mobile Phone – needs to have a camera and microphone.
Full details on joining the quiz are on the OSC website:
Whilst primarily a social night, the OSC have set up a Just Giving Page Quiz Night Donations especially to raise funds, monies raised will be split between:
The Angus MacDonald Foundation
Formed by our #15, Angus MacDonald who successfully combated the early stages of bowel cancer last year, the Foundation has been set up to raise awareness around cancer diagnosis in young people and to use sport as an activity and a rehabilitation mechanism when people have had treatment, to get them fit and active again.
We think it’s important to support a cause that’s close to football, to something Hull City related if we can but also something that the local community can benefit from. The Tigers Trust:-
- provide facilities for improving health and social cohesion through participation in sport and leisure activities.
- advance educational opportunities for young people and adults, working with a wide range of partners.
- promote activities that will enhance social welfare and inclusion for families and people of all ages.
Remember that this is primarily a community social but hopefully too, a fun way of fundraising for good causes. This will be the OSC’s 2nd Virtual Pub Quiz. They raised £190 at the first.
