Spring Forward to British Summer Time – Sunday 29 March 2020

“Spring Forward, Fall Back”

BRITISH SUMMER TIME (also known as Daylight Saving Time) starts on the last Sunday in March. It begins at 1am on Sunday 29 March 2020 when the clocks are put forward to 2am.

As a result of the clocks going forward, there will be more daylight in the evenings and less in the mornings.

British Summer Time operates from the last Sunday in March until the last Sunday in October.  An easy way to remember whether the clocks go back or forwards is the US saying “Spring Forward, Fall Back”.

“Fall” is the US word for Autumn.
