A giant cheque presentation and Charity Night will take place on Saturday, 8 September 2018 to hand over the proceeds raised at the Preston Show and Family Fun Day held in July, to charity Nice 2b Nice. The charity was chosen by the Village Show Community group to be the beneficiary from the entry fees and funds raised on the day. The cheque will reflect the monies raised, but the presentation night will also be an opportunity to raise more money for the charity. There will be an auction of items from Hull City and both Hull FC and Hull KR rugby clubs, additionally there will be entertainment on the night.
The presentation night starts at 8pm at the Nag’s Head on Sproatley Road, Preston.
Nice 2b Nice was founded in June 2014 to provide financial support for those in need of specialist equipment, to organise ‘Surprise Days’ for the terminally ill or those in desperate need of a lift, to offer free respite through providing a holiday home, Phoebes Lodge, at Patrington Haven, and offering animal therapy through therapy dog Lewis. Nice 2b Nice works as part of the Life for a Kid Foundation UK charity.
