The Daniel Wilkinson Foundation, a charity setup in memory of Daniel from Hedon who died playing the game he loved, from an underlying heart condition called Arrhythmogenic Right Ventricular Cardiomyopathy (ARVC), raises funds that will ultimately safe lives. With the support of the Football Association and county FAs, every penny raised will go towards providing screenings for all footballers at grass-roots levels and to assist clubs in purchasing Defibrillators and to provide training in CPR.
In 2017, the Sproatley quizzes raised £2,000 for The Daniel Wilkinson Foundation, the organisers say: “We can’t thank you enough for your support!”
