The new Hedon and East Hull Villages Fundraising Group for Marie Curie is holding its first event in the area on Saturday 25 August 2018. The ‘Blooming Great Tea Party’ will take place from 10am-1pm at the Hedon Scout Hall on Sheriff Highway.
Natalie Atherley, the Community Fundraiser for Marie Curie, explained: “The new fundraising group will be holding their very first event on Saturday August 25 and would like to invite everyone along to their Blooming Great Tea Party for cake and a cuppa.
“This event is a great opportunity for them to meet lots of local people and introduce themselves to their community. It would be amazing if you could pop along for an hour or two to show your support and find out more about what they do.
“You’ll be enabling us to care for and support more people living with a terminal illness, and their families. Every one of us in the UK will be affected at some point by a terminal illness, and we need support so that we can provide the care everyone deserves at the end of their life.
“Help us to help more people. Simple as that!”
The Hedon and East Hull Villages Fundraising Group will fundraise year-round for Marie Curie by looking after collection tins and daffodil boxes, organising collections in local supermarkets, and organising their own events. They can also bank money locally and support anyone that wants to fundraise for Marie Curie or make a donation.
