An evening with cellist Orlando Jopling
Orlando Jopling has given over 120 recitals of the Bach Cello Suites and other solo cello repertoires, playing in a wide variety of churches, from huge light-filled Wren masterpieces in city centres to intimate and atmospheric medieval churches on remote moorland – 104 churches in total.
The purpose of Orlando’s Cello Pilgrimage is to help churches raise funds
for the restoration and upkeep of their buildings.

Orlando is an internationally renowned cellist who is also the Principal Conductor of the Royal Orchestral Society in London. This is a rare opportunity to see him perform live in the beautiful setting of St. Augustine’s Church, Church Lane, Hedon.
