THE SCARECROW WALK for 2015 with 33 displays delighted both residents and visitors to the town over the weekend (September 19th and 20th). What an amazing show of effort and imagination from those putting out scarecrows!
Special mention must go to the residents of Holderness Grange Lifestyle Village for the seven displays there which were arguably amongst the best. The lifestyle village on Draper’s Lane also held a craft fayre on the day which proved particularly popular.
Another special mention must go to the Hedon Methodist Church Youth Club whose Scarecrow Café added a special attraction to the day.
And thanks must be given to Councillor Sarah Rommell of Hedon Town Council too; not only for helping to organise, push and plug the Scarecrow Walk, but also for opening up a stall in the town centre on the Sunday afternoon to ensure that a supply of Trail Guides were available for scarecrow hunters.
Judges appointed by Hedon Town Council were visiting the scarecrows on Sunday with the very difficult task of picking out the best!
We’ve photographed all the Hedon Scarecrows on our photo-sharing Flickr page at Hedon Scarecrow Walk 2015 on Flickr and a random selection is also published below:
