WORK is progressing on the town’s new Micropub and the Hed’On Inn Micropub sign has gone up at the property on Watmough’s Arcade, Hedon.
It’s a rather more obvious name than that previously suggested for licensing purposes (The Thirsty Pig – Ed), but the new much more local name was apparently chosen from one suggested by regulars at the Royal Mail Thorngumbald. The new licensee of the Hed’On Inn is Shirley Bamforth, also of the Royal Mail.
We look forward to news of the opening of this exciting new venture!

Just wondered if this pub has reopened again? I turned up with a few friends to try the ales to be disappointed to find it was temporally closed. Would love to know if it is open again now or when it is planning to be opened
