HedFest live music bands snipA GLIMPSE of some of the live bands, music and entertainment on offer at HedFest has been revealed by its Cornucopia organisers.

HedFest is the name given to the community-based live music and family entertainment festival taking place in Hedon on Friday August 14th (Evening) and Saturday 15th August 2015.

Whilst progamming is still taking place, some of the acts likely to appear at the main venues (Alexandra Hall, Haven Arms, Queen’s Head and St Augustine’s Church) have been named. Over 50 artists  – catering for all tastes – will perform at the festival including (a random selection – Editor):

…Farewell Fareground, Quicksilver Kings, Holy Moly & The Crackers, Hase Waits, Johnny Pat & The Aces, Velvet Dolls, Living Room Lads, Behind Closed Doors, Lucy Marshall, Katie Spencer, Crooked Weather, Carrie Martin, Queenan Cox, Nick Rooke Band, Happy Endings, Two Cellos, Wayward Suns, Black Delta Movement, Streaming Lights, Young Jack, Maddisons…

The organisers have also announced that the official Comedy Club at HedFest is being arranged by John Marshall. Over the last 12 years John has been instrumental in setting up new comedy clubs in Hull, Beverley, Hornsea, Bridlington, York, and Scarborough – and discovering Sarah Millican, Lucy Beaumont, and Alfie Moore in the process. Venue to be announced soon!

wrist bandsPrices for the Wrist Bands (available soon from the main venues) have also been announced – £3.00 for adults, £1.50 for children (under 11’s go free). Buy a Wrist Band  and get entry to ALL the main festival venues (and fringe venues) for the whole festival – you can use your wrist band for both the Friday evening and the Saturday.

And of course there will be lots happening in the main streets of Hedon and on Market Hill too, including the Carnival Procession setting off from Market Hill at 2:30pm on the Saturday.

HedFest will have something for everyone! It is presented by Hedon Town Council and Cornucopia supported by East Riding of Yorkshire Council and the East Riding Branch of the Federation of Small Businesses.
