PUBLIC NOTICE: STATION LANE (B1240) between Souttergate and Magdalen Lane will be closed for roadworks on Thursday 28th May 2015.
The 24 hour road closure will take place to allow essential subsidence works to take place.
Residents needing access to Station Lane during that road closure are best contacting the East Riding Council on (0845) 6001666 its dedicated line for further information about work on roads and pavements. The Station Lane works reference number is listed as QV055724529.
Note: There will also be a disruption to road users on St Augustine’s Gate, Hedon on the Thursday 28th May when the road is closed for the Hedon Penny Throwing from 6:15pm -7:15pm.
Buses: From 7:30am – 4:30pm on Thursday 28th buses from Hedon and Preston (the 277) will divert. Buses divert from Preston via School Road, Weghill Road, the B1362, Magdalen Lane and then back to their normal route. Stops between Preston Crossroads and Station Lane in Hedon can’t be served.
Buses from Hedon to Preston will not be affected apart from the 6:50pm (Johnson’s Corner) which will divert due to the Hedon ‘Penny Throwing’ event. – With thanks to Rachel Cliffe and Lewis Dandy for conveying this information from EYMS.

The road will be closed between 7.30am and 4:00pm to allow for essential subsidence and carriageway patching works to take place. The road closure applies to all traffic but open for pedestrian and emergency services.
Properties directly affected by the closure will have access. Residents have been notified that there will be a temporary suspension of the ‘One Way’ system on Station Lane for the duration of the closure to allow residents to gain access to their properties.

A public notice from ERYCC states: “The road will be open at all times to pedestrians and for vehicular access to properties directly affected by the closure and to emergency services. The One Way System on Station Lane is hereby suspended for the duration of the closure to allow residents to gain access to their properties and egress from their properties.”
Is there any more information about access to get in and out of residents homes as nothing on East Riding website, and nothing posted to my home informing of this roadworks and road closure other than the signs on roadside?
