“Signing up!” for Easter Story

IT was another lively and ‘messy’ church once again at Hedon Methodist Church.

There was a strange quiet as I arrived at the church on Saturday – the younger children were in a side room taking part in a Story Telling class. Steve the Story Teller was reading from The Easter Story and key points were being marked by the children holding up the storyboard signs that they’d made earlier.
Riley Isobelle Messy ChurchMaking the signs was just one of the activities taking place which included painting, drawing and colouring-in. One group was involved in planting up and creating miniature gardens.

The messy church has become something of a holiday tradition now at the Methodist Church and hopefully it will continue for a long time – in fact, long live the mess!
