WHO SAW “Gorgeous” George Tambaros on Channel 4’s “Come Dine With Me” last week?

George TambarosGeorge who earned the nickname “Gorgeous” from the other 4 contestants in the programme, cooked and presented his Greek style leg of lamb meal with Cypriot village potatoes with his starter of ‘egg drop soup’ (raw quail eggs dropped into hot soup and – hopefully – poached in the broth).

George is the Retirement Home Community Manager at the Holderness Grange Lifestyle Village in Hedon – but we get the feeling that Mr Tamboras will now forever be known in the complex as “Gorgeous George” – if not “Captain George” (you’ve got to watch the programme).

The programme is still available to watch at 4 on Demand until around 15th February 2015 at the link below:

  1. George is great! When the scarecrow walk took place, he did all he could to help.He opened the Holderness Grange to many charities that day and allowed us to put a bouncy castle in the grounds so that the children could have fun.
