HOLDERNESS GRANGE Choir held their first Christmas concert of the season last night – and while it’s not always a good idea to ‘YouTube’ a performance – the sound quality and acoustics do not always do justice to it – we couldn’t resist filming this party piece by the choir’s Santa Dave and Angela! Raw and unedited – Enjoy!
The choir’s ‘Spirit of Christmas’ concert was a great night of entertainment with a mix of Christmas songs being sung from the obscure ‘Coventry Carol’ to the popular “Mary’s Boy Child” – ending with rousing versions of ‘Let it Snow’ and ‘White Christmas’.
There were lots of opportunities for audience participation too – with song-sheets provided and an invite to join in. Great fun!
There are other opportunities to catch the choir in action – watch this space and we’ll bring you more!
The Mayoress and I were delighted to have been invited to the Christmas Concert again, although this time we had to ‘sing for our supper’ and had to join in a few carols which was unexpected, but very enjoyable
As always,Jill Hanslip and her Holderness Grange Choir put on a splendid performance, Well done to you all..
John and Jennifer Dennis, 668th Mayor and Mayoress of Hedon.
