LOCAL VETS the Haven Veterinary Group are getting involved in the Switch-On party for Hedon’s Christmas Lights on Friday 28th November 2014.
In a first for the practice as part of their Christmas fundraising events in support of Hull-based Carr House Dog Rescue and Lincolnshire charity Bransby Horses, staff members will be having a stall selling cat and dog ‘goodie bags’, horse treat bags, home-made cat and dog biscuits and other items.
But the star attraction on the stall will be the Haven team’s innovative Pet Calendar 2015! Staff from both branches of the Vets in Ketwell Lane, Hedon and Holderness Road, Hull have been involved in a special staff pets and animals photo-shoot to create the images for the calendar.
Evie Beattie, senior practice administrator, organised the events and said: “The photo-shoot was great to get us in the mood for Christmas – chaos ensued but we got some superb photos!
“Please come and see us on the night and in the branches and help us to support these very deserving charities.”
Also on sale at the Christmas Lights stall will be Christmas cards and notelets with the photographs of the pets. There will also be a prize draw competition held on the night too.
The calendars and cards will also be on sale at both practices along with pet goodie bags from 1st December, alongside raffles at both branches for a luxury hamper at Hedon and a hamper and cuddly toy at the Hull practice.
