A SPECIAL EVENT is being held in Hedon on Sunday 22nd June 2014 when historian and Honorary Freeman of Hedon, Dr Martin Craven leads a ‘walk and talk’ around the place highlighting some of its fascinating local history; the people, its places, the facts and stories associated with the ancient borough.
Dr Craven, who is also a member of the Hedon Museum Society, will bring the town’s history to life in the ‘Walk through Hedon’s History’ which will start at 2.00pm and last approximately 1 hour 30 minutes.
The walk tickets need to be booked in advance and will cost £2 for adults, and £1 for under 16’s (under 5’s free).
Tickets are available from the Town Hall on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday between 9am and 3pm.
Unfortunately, places on the walk are limited to 25, so tickets are only available on a first come, first served basis.
The ‘Walk through Hedon’s History’ is organised by the Hedon Town Council’s Events working group. The proceeds from ticket sales will be spent on organising other community events in the town.
