Clockworks by Isabel Sutton
Tick…tock
Around the clock.
One hand short, one hand tall.
One hand big, the other small.
Checking seconds, minutes, days, hours.
Both old and wise, the Grandfather tower.
Standing awfully tall and proud.
Grandad’s tune is rather loud.
Watching, waiting for the time.
When Grandpa will tell us, by his chime.
Clockworks was sent in by local song-writing poet Vinny Shepherd on behalf of his friend’s daughter Isabel also from Hedon.
We think it should be said slowly in time to the ticking of a Clock! Thank you also for Isabel’s drawing of that clock – her Clock Ooozy!
