Election 2014

“Bring new thoughts and light in to Hedon Town Council” says election candidate

A LABOUR candidate in the Hedon Town Council election has made his first public statement regarding the campaign.

Brian Stockdale

Candidate Brian Stockdale was reported in the Hull Daily Mail yesterday as saying:

“The main reason I am standing is because of all the commotion that has happened in the past few months. The current town council members seem to keep things among themselves and this needs to change.

“Steve (Gallant) and I want to bring new thoughts and a new light into Hedon Town Council. They have got stuck in their own ways and some of them seem to be on a big ego trip.”

There are four candidates standing in the election:

♦ Colin BILLANY, Independent.
♦ Stephen John GALLANT, Labour Party Candidate
♦ Brian STOCKDALE, Labour Party Candidate
♦ Terry WEST, UK Independence Party (UK I P)

Hedon Mayor Councillor John Dennis is quoted in the same Hull Mail article: “We have had a difficult time over the past months. We hope that we can now put this behind us with the injection of new members. I wish them all the best of luck.

“I hope they will bring some fresh ideas and enthusiasm to the table and have a desire to keep Hedon moving forward.”

The Hedon Blog hopes to bring you all the news from the campaign at BY-ELECTION Thursday 6th February 2014.
