LOOK OUT on Saturday morning (7th December 2013) for a group of charity fundraisers who in all likelihood will be doing strange public stunts in Hedon and Preston between 9:30am and 10:15am!
Neil Johnson the organiser has described the event as “a kind of weird and unusual fusion of a treasure hunt, mini flash mob and fitness challenge! A kind of pub quiz on legs!”
Whilst on route to Hedon and Preston from their Fitness Academy Hull base at Saltend, the charity participants and keep-fit enthusiasts will be asked to find “hidden treasures” set by Neil; they will be asked to perform spot tasks in order to gain extra points, this might be optional physical exercises, answering questions, or performing certain feats – one feat for example will be to get your photograph taken outside every pub in Hedon and Preston on the day!
The ‘winner’ of the event will be the participants who collect the most points. But what is certain, is that there will be lots of things for spectators to look out for in Hedon and Preston between 9:30 – 10:15am (they leave the Fitness Academy at about 9:15am).
This highly unusual and original fundraising event is sure to raise a smile on Saturday morning, but there is a serious side, and that is raising money for the Brain Tumour Charity. Neil has been prompted to organise the fundraising challenge, due to the personal tragedy of the death of a loved one; his wife Angela’s father died from Brain Cancer two years ago.
Look out for the intrepid fitness challengers on Saturday morning, have a laugh at the antics, and dig deep to donate to the good cause.
