Coaching star back in home town for Swim Clinic

SOUTH HOLDERNESS SWIMMING CLUB welcomes back Jon Rudd, head coach of Plymouth Leander Swimming Club, who will host a breaststroke and swim clinic on Wednesday, 7th August 2013 at 4.45pm. After a warm up, the clinic will run from 5:00pm – 7:00pm.

Jon Rudd lived in Hedon and went to school at South Holderness before going to the College of St Mark & St John in Plymouth — he has since become a swimming consultant and head coach at the world-renowned swimming school in Plymouth – Leander Swimming.

In the London 2012 Olympics Jon coached 15-year-old Rita Meilutyte from Lithuania to a Gold medal in the 100m breaststroke.

Jon’s father Harold is a regular coach at South Holderness Swimming Club and will also be leading the Swim Clinic.

There will be no charge to attend this event but donations given on the evening by spectators will be greatly appreciated.

All South Holderness Swimming Club swimmers and coaches are invited to attend.
