Hedon Market

HEDON MARKET takes place every Wednesday in the Market Place (where else!), town centre, Hedon  from 9am until the late afternoon.

The Market regularly contains a variety of stalls – and even though a small market – has everything that the ardent market-goer requires. For visitors to Hedon, the market is quite often the first introduction to the town, and is a starting point for visits to other attractions in the place; the Museum, the shops, cafés and pubs.

There has been a market in Hedon for over 800 years – and as the picture from the Big Freeze 2010 below shows – the stall-holders do everything possible to make sure that they are available to serve their regular customers.

So… not been to Hedon before? Get yourself down to the Market every Wednesday!

For further information about the market, contact Hedon Town Council at the Town Hall which is open from 9:00am to 3:00pm on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. Telephone: 01482 898428.

  1. Got a call yesterday from some folks holidaying in Withernsea, they’d heard about a Market in Hedon but didn’t know when it was on; I realised that there was nothing on the Blog about the Market! Rectified that now – there is now a photo link to this article 😀
