THE ALZHEIMER’S SOCIETY is to run a Carers Information and Support Programme for carers of people with dementia and memory problems.
The Programme aims to provide carers with information and support.
Topics covered include:
- What is dementia;
- How carers can support and care for someone with dementia;
- Planning for the future.
There will also be the opportunity to meet with other carers and share experiences.
The FREE 4-week Programme will start on Tuesday 2nd July 2013 and take place over the next three Tuesdays on the 9th, 16th and 23rd July from 10am – 12.30pm each day at the Holderness Grange Lifestyle Village, Birch Tree Drive, Drapers Lane, Hedon.
“Dementia is one of the main causes of disability later in life, ahead of cancer, cardiovascular disease and stroke.”
