Arrests made after Hedon explosion

Police UK SNENHUMBERSIDE POLICE yesterday arrested three local men on suspicion of causing an explosion in relation to the incident in Market Hill, Hedon in the early hours of Thursday 6th June 2013. See: Hedon – Scene of Bomb Scare.

A press release issued at 6:20pm last night stated that the three men are now in police custody awaiting questioning by detectives. They are aged 42, 37 and 31.

Inquiries into the incident are ongoing and officers still wish to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time of the small explosion and who may have seen anything suspicious.

Detective Inspector Paul Kirby said:

“I would like to reassure the local community in Hedon that Humberside Police have dealt with this incident with the seriousness it deserved and have arrested these three suspects promptly.

“I would be very keen still to hear from anyone who was in the Market Hill area of Hedon in the early hours of yesterday and who might have seen three men. Anyone with information should contact Humberside Police on 101 referring to log 36 of 06 June.”

    “THE three local men who were arrested on Friday 07 June on suspicion of causing an explosion, in relation to the incident in Market Hill, Hedon in the early hours of Thursday 06 June, have now been released on police bail.

    The men, aged 42, 37 and 31, were detained overnight and questioned by detectives and have this afternoon (Sat 08 June) been released on police bail whilst further inquiries are undertaken.

    Officers investigating the explosion continue to seek information from any member of the public with information about the incident and ask witnesses to contact Humberside Police on the non emergency number 101 referring to log 36 of 06 June 2013.”
