Computer Classes for Beginners

Keyboard handsHEDON LIBRARY is running a series of FREE courses taking place on Thursday mornings to help people get started with computers.

The course takes place over four weeks on Thursdays between 10am – 12 noon.

Places are limited so those that are interested should pop into the library or call them on 01482 897651 to book.

Here are just a couple of facts about computers and the internet which might be of interest:

“Everyone’s online these days, right? Wrong. In fact, 16 million people in the UK aged 15 and over still don’t have Basic Online Skills – yet 90% of all jobs will require ICT skills by 2015.”

“Charities are among the organisations with the most to gain from upping their digital capabilities, yet one-fifth have little or no web presence and 50% need help with web design and social media.” – Extracts from the GO ON website
