HUMBERSIDE Police Commissioner Candidate Neil Eyre says has regretfully had to cancel his Hedon meeting scheduled for tonight (6th Nov 2012).
As an Independent candidate, on “a limited budget and with no party political campaign team”, Mr Eyre says he has had to make a strategic decision to withdraw from some public meetings while he concentrates his election campaigning work on postal voters and leaflet deliveries near to polling stations. “It’s about contacting as many people as I can in a short time – I just don’t have the money, resources or time to do that and do the public meetings where only a few people may turn up.” he explained in a phone call.
The Scunthorpe-based candidate says that he is really sorry he has had to cancel his Hedon meeting and invites those interested in his campaign to contact him via any of the means listed on his HU12 Online election statement.
The Humberside Police & Crime Commissioner poll takes place on Thursday 15th November 2012.
