Appeal to Hedon Blog Readers – complete Broadband Survey

THIS IS AN APPEAL to Hedon Blog readers to take part in – and spread the word about – the East Riding Broadband Survey that is being conducted by the East Riding Council.

The survey is an opportunity to record the demand for better broadband in the East Riding, and the findings will be important to help strengthen the case for attracting more investment into broadband.

The survey includes a broadband speed test (Click BEGIN TEST) which will also help to clearly pinpoint the best and worst performing areas for broadband across the East Riding.

It might be useful if, when asked to record your upload and download speeds – that you write this down and include the figures as a comment on the Hedon Blog.

Note: after you have completed the speed test, just close the page down and you will return to the survey. Be careful not to click any of the ‘offers’ available on that page (unless you wish to).

For comparison, at 11.40am today the Hedon Blog recorded a download speed of 16.33 mbps and an upload speed of 0.86 mbps.

We are encouraging as many local businesses and residents as possible in Hedon to complete the broadband survey – it only takes about five minutes.

There are separate surveys for businesses and for residents at the web link below.

Please share this article on Facebook, Twitter and by e-mail and help circulate the survey link to a wider audience.
