New Menu at The Station – enjoy it in the ‘secret’ garden!

THE STATION has recently got a new cook and updated its Menu.

The new offerings of Ploughman’s Lunch, Gammon, Curry of the Week and Light Bites are all described on The Station’s Website – but, in the current hot temperatures,  it is probably the Salads that will entice!

The Station Beer Garden is certainly one of the places to be to enjoy such a meal in the sun. Not a lot of people realise that the beer-garden exists because it’s behind the pub and out of view – because of this in many ways it’s the town’s hidden or secret garden. However, it is a large grassed area more like a small park. This picture is a Google satellite view (2009) of the area.

Of course the other local pubs all have their attractive outside areas too – Kingstown, Queen’s, Kings, Shakey and at Haven Arms. Perhaps it’s worth adapting our Historic Hedon Pubs Walk to feature a Beer Garden trek!
