The Hull Daily Mail reports that all the 24 finalists were asked to raise money for the pageant’s charity of the year, The Joshua Foundation, which funds trips, treats and events for terminally ill children.
The Miss Charity title was given to store supervisor, Emily, 20, who raised £440 in just one month through cake sales, a sponsored swim and a sponsored leg wax.
Emily said: “It was brilliant to win this title, it was definitely the best award I could have won really because the Joshua Foundation is such a good cause.”
