THE BLOG recently posted the results of its simple survey into resident perceptions of Hedon’s links with Beverley.
Whilst most people thought that the place they lived had more in common with Beverley than Hull, there is one practical obstacle to better links with the East Riding capital – Transport; or rather lack of transport!
If you haven’t got access to a car, then there is little likelihood of you making regular visits to Beverley.
However, there is a daily bus service between the two towns. The 242 run by Stagecoach (with the financial assistance of East Riding Council) operates Monday to Saturday (except public holidays) between Hedon Market Place and Beverley Bus Station.
The service departs from Hedon at 9.30am and calls into Preston, Sproatley, Bilton, Ganstead, Coniston, Skirlaugh, Long Riston, Routh and arrives in Beverley bus station at 10.22am.
The return journey departs from Beverley at 1.30pm and arrives back at Hedon at 2.22pm.
We’ve included the timetables here, but as this article gets older you might want to call Stagecoach on 01482 222 333 to check on updates.
USE IT or we just might LOSE IT!
