MOORFIELDS is a popular Butchers and Bakers Shop in Ings Road, Hull. The business is owned by local Hedon man Kevin Moore.

Kevin, his Master Baker John Allenby and the shop’s other staff, are all proud of the business. “We aim to be artisans of the meat and bakery trade” says Kevin “We use only traditional methods in our bakery at the back of the shop.”

The Hedon Blogger visited the shop on a busy Tuesday morning and saw those traditional methods in operation. Each pie being made that particular morning was individually shaped, filled and styled – definitely no factory mass-produced goods here!

Kevin is actually very modest about the business and the quality of the goods. It was left to one of the serving staff who whispered to me: “Our blackcurrant creams are fantastic! Customers tell us you can’t get the like anywhere else!”
